Seventh Generation Promotes Breast Cancer Prevention And Cure

Seventh Generation is pleased to announce its sponsorship of a special Expo West initiative to help defeat breast cancer. The nation's top manufacturer of environmentally-preferable consumer products will unite with 19 other leading natural product companies for a unique presentation aimed at raising awareness of the illness and promoting an ongoing fundraising drive for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest breast cancer research and advocacy organization.
Company president Jeffrey Hollender will join a who's who of natural product industry executives to form what's being called a collective commUNITY that will deliver a critical message about the ways in which a healthy lifestyle can go a long way toward preventing disease.
"Breast cancer is an illness I'm all too familiar with," says Hollender, "It's struck my immediate family twice now, and I'm committed to seeing it eradicated. This event is about spreading the word that our lifestyles can have a positive impact on our health in many ways. It's a perfect fit for our company because that's what we've always been about-showing the connection between many of the choices we make and the wellness of our families. We're in business to make those choices easy with products that provide a solid precautionary defense against toxins that are thought to cause diseases like cancer.

To that end, Seventh Generation is a leading sponsor of the upcoming March 14th event, which will feature a special press conference with partnering natural products company executives and a 32-year old breast cancer survivor. The program, which begins at 4:30 pm, will also feature an exclusive DVD presentation as a prelude to Expo West's Vitality Fashion Show at 7:00 pm, a gala evening starring the latest in sustainable haute couture from America's most acclaimed eco-designers.
