Dietitians Association Appoints Advanced Practitioners, Australia

The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is pleased to announce the latest recipients of the Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (AdvAPD) credential recognising professional leadership in their field of nutrition and dietetics.
DAA is delighted to congratulate the Advanced APDs:
- Gabrielle O'Kane - Charles Sturt University, NSW
- Robynne Snell - Curtin University of Technology, WA
- Angela Vivanti - Princess Alexandra Hospital, QLD
- Amanda Clark - Great Ideas In Nutrition, QLD
DAA President Ms Julie Hulcombe said, 'the newly appointed AdvAPDs demonstrate high level skills and expertise as well as being recognised as leading role models and mentors for the dietetic profession.'
The new AdvAPDs join 25 of their colleagues already awarded the credentials, who continue to show their commitment to the profession. DAA's AdvAPDs represent the diversity in the dietetics profession, working in areas such as academia, clinical, private practice, public health, community nutrition and industry.
The AdvAPD program shows how DAA strives for and achieves high-level practice reinforcing DAA as the leader in nutrition and dietetics in Australia.
The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is the professional body representing dietitians nationally. Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is the only national credential recognised by the Australian Government, Medicare, the Department of Veterans Affairs and most private health funds as the quality standard for nutrition and dietetics services in Australia.
