DriveWise Auto signed an agreement that will create a new means of fundraising for the California Division of the American Cancer Society. In 2008, about 142,070 Californians will be diagnosed with cancer, and about 53,730 will die of the disease. On an ongoing basis, DriveWise Auto will donate a portion of its proceeds to the American Cancer Society between $50 and $100 for every vehicle it sells or leases to the existing ACS supporter base, and for any other clients with an interest in supporting the mission of the ACS.

Social entrepreneurs Adam Slobin and Bryan Weissman founded DriveWise Auto to fill a void in the auto industry by creating a new connection between consumers, their vehicles, and the charitable organizations that they support. Their business model puts an emphasis on creating client experiences that are rewarding on personal and social levels, and that will result in long-lasting relationships and repeat business. Their new relationship with the American Cancer Society is the first of many that they anticipate establishing to aid in their goal of changing the way consumers buy and lease their vehicles.

Working with Larry Meisner, Vice President of Corporate Relations at the American Cancer Society's California Division, both parties saw internal and external value in the Society's supporters being able to buy and lease their vehicles through a socially responsible organization that would drive funds directly back to the Society.

About the agreement, Meisner says, "Our corporate relationships are extremely important to the American Cancer Society. Their broad reach and influence to employees, customers and communities in which they conduct business holds great impact in their messaging. The California Division is very pleased to work with a company such as DriveWise Auto, whose leadership cares so deeply about the mission of the American Cancer Society, and is determined to assist with our lifesaving efforts."

Eric Creditor, an American Cancer Society supporter and owner of TrafficSchool.com and DriversEd Direct, says, "I have made multiple purchases through DriveWise Auto, all of which have been absolutely hassle-free and enjoyable. They are trustworthy, ethical, extremely reliable, and truly know what good customer service means. I can always count on them to make my needs their priority, and know that I'm in good hands. To be able to buy a car with no headaches, and to know that money is going to a charity that I support confirms for me that I'll never buy a car another way!"

Since it began operation in late 2007, DriveWise Auto has donated in excess of $7000 to the charitable organizations chosen by its clients.
