The Ultroid Hemorrhoid Treatment, which provides an innovative and non-surgical approach to treating hemorrhoids, was recently featured in Physicians Office Resource. The trade magazine features products and editorials directly targeted to individuals in the medical profession. The article, titled "Breakthrough in Painless Hemorrhoid Treatment," explains how the procedure was originally developed more than 30 years ago, and it has evolved into a high-tech, refined medical device. Three men originally developed the treatment in Lake Tahoe, Dr. Daniel A. Norman, Dr. Glenn Nicholas, and electrical engineer Ron Newton. The Ultroid Treatment uses a low level of electric current applied in the comfort of the physician's office, which does not require invasive surgery or harsh medication.

It is Dr. Norman who continued perfecting the treatment, and he now practices gastroenterology and internal medicine at Barton Memorial Hospital in Lake Tahoe.

"Patients hop up and go on their way," said Dr. Norman in the Physicians Office Resource article. He went on to say that most patients have not had any recurring hemorrhoids after they were treated with the Ultroid System.

The Ultroid Painless Hemorrhoid Treatment is currently available in doctors' offices around the nation. The treatment is painless and performed during a six to 12 minute procedure as an office visit. It requires no special preparation, and it allows the patient to leave the doctor's office and proceed with their normal daily activities.
