At Symposium Mammographicum 2008, in Lille, France, Siemens will be showcasing the latest innovations in full field digital mammography and breast imaging. In addition to the new MAMMOMAT Inspiration, the ACUSON S2000 ultrasound system and the MammoReport workstation will be displayed on stand 11/12.
The MAMMOMAT Inspiration is a full field digital mammography system designed to meet the needs of the patient, the user and clinician. New compression technologies, paddle design and mood lighting offer the latest in patient comfort, plus the isocentric rotation of the X-ray tube and examination functionality have been enhanced to offer easy and fast workflow to improve patient throughput. Furthermore, the MAMMOMAT Inspiration is a future proof solution for stereotactic biopsy and to provide 3D imaging using tomosynthesis.
Also being exhibited on the Siemens stand is the ACUSON S2000 offering the latest advances in ultrasound breast imaging. The system provides superior image quality by utilising proprietary advanced SieClear spatial compounding with Dynamic TCE Tissue contrast enhancement to improve tissue border and contrast resolution for the evaluation of fine breast anatomy and pathology. The inherent flexibility in the Acuson S2000 combined with innovative technologies such as eSie Touch Elasticity Imaging, Fatty Tissue Imaging and syngo eSie Calcs native software improves workflow and meets the unique needs of breast imaging.
There will also be an opportunity to see other Siemens innovations in transducer technologies and the MammoReport workstation, an optimally designed solution for image acquisition, display and diagnosis.
"Our range of breast imaging solutions has been bolstered by the launch of our new full field digital mammography system and next generation ultrasound. We are looking forward to showcasing the full portfolio at Symposium Mammographicum," said Andrew Pattison, Director of Diagnostic Ultrasound & Women's Health at Siemens. "All systems offer the functionality required to help answer vital questions in the field of breast imaging."
