A new Gunther von Hagens Body World exhibition which includes a diabetes perspective is now on in Manchester - and Balance readers are eligible for a discounted admission charge.

'Body Worlds 4: The Original Exhibition of Real Human Bodies' is taking place at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), Manchester.

More than 200 specimens are on view, ranging from whole human bodies to healthy and diseased organs - including the pancreas - that have undergone the groundbreaking method of plastination to preserve them after death.

Diabetes UK information

Diabetes UK will be present at MOSI from Tuesday 10 June - Saturday 14 June with our roadshow vehicle. Visitors can access information from Diabetes UK about managing diabetes, reducing the risk of its complications - and for those without the condition, information and testing to help them find out if they are at risk of Type 2.

Discount for Balance readers

The exhibition runs until 29 June, and Balance readers can get £1.50 off the general admission price for up to two 'timed' tickets from 28 April to 22 May between 10am to 9pm Fridays to Saturdays (last admission is one hour before closing).

Simply book in advance and, on the day, take the May-June 2008 issue (No: 223) of Balance to be validated at the MOSI box office.

Further information

Please quote 'Balance' when booking at The Museum of Science and Industry or on 0871 231 0847 - and take this issue on the day. For more on the exhibition, visit Body Worlds.
