Conference Archives, Inc. (CAI), a leader in meeting presentation capture and distribution, is pleased to announce that The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT), a professional organization representing more than 4,500 physicians, scientists, and technologists who work in the field of cardiovascular computed tomography, has agreed to deliver their annual meeting presentations to a global audience through Ekatius™.
The SCCT event knowledge to be delivered through Ekatius™ will include rich media presentations captured from SCCT's 2nd Annual Scientific Meeting held in July 2007. Presentations from the forthcoming 2008 meeting will be added in 2009. SCCT's event knowledge will be available through the public library section of Ekatius™ (http://www.ekatius.com), which is free to the public, and through the World Health Organization's HINARI program, which delivers health science content to developing nations.
The Ekatius™ platform has advanced search functionalities that allow users to search for event knowledge - rich media presentations, abstracts, and posters from a meeting - either within a specific event or across several events. Additionally, secure online workgroup functionalities in Ekatius™ facilitate communication and collaboration.
"We are extremely pleased to deliver SCCT's event knowledge through Ekatius™," said David Sampson, CAI's EVP, Medical Content Division. "As the usage of cardiovascular computed tomography - one of the most rapidly evolving techniques for assessing cardiovascular anatomy and pathology- continues to grow, SCCT's presentations will have a global impact on cardiovascular health, ultimately improving patient outcomes."
In combination with the cardiovascular event knowledge already found in Ekatius™, the addition of SCCT presentations will provide both clinicians and researchers around the globe with an advanced, in-depth view of the latest research and advancements in cardiovascular diagnostic and imaging technologies.
