Bio-Synergy, market leaders in sports nutrition and functional waters unveils startling survey results which demonstrate that British women are confident in how they look. The Bio-Synergy survey reveals that 64% of female adult respondents aged 16+ are comfortable with their current weight and interestingly, when it comes to relationships, it seems that women have more body confidence than men with 10% of women trying to maintain their body shape to please their partner in comparison to 25% of men!
In addition, when respondents were asked about their weight loss stance, 5% of women have replaced certain meals with slimming pills to lose weight, 7% of women strive for a celebrity body every time they flip through a magazine and 7% of women have trialled slimming aids to help achieve a Sienna Miller or Keira Knightley equivalent shape.
Daniel Herman, managing director of Bio-Synergy says:
"Whilst we perceive women as becoming increasingly body conscious, the latest poll indicates that they are comfortable in their own skin and not resorting to fad diets in an effort to maintain their optimum weight. This fact bears out our view that consumers instead want functional modern solutions that help maintain a healthy weight such as high functional waters and supplements, which, Bio-Synergy provide."
In an ideal world when respondents were asked which body part they would most like to change through dietary supplements and exercise, the poll revealed that 69% of women would like to change their stomach and 46% their thighs. With a huge amount of experience of female customer preferences and what their weight goals are, Daniel Herman is not surprised by the fact that the poll verifies the stomach and thighs as common areas women wish to improve. He says:
"Many of our female customers identify the stomach and thighs as areas that they're specifically working on. Achieving great results through exercise and supplements that help you maintain a healthy momentum is absolutely possible. However, you may want the weight to drop off in a fortnight but two pounds per week is a healthy rate of weight loss - which means forget the starvation diets and crushing exercise regimes."
To achieve a toned stomach and thighs women can do the following:
1. Take up regular aerobic exercise. This form of exercise will raise your metabolic rate. 2. Incorporate resistance work to help lose weight. Muscles burn more calories than fat, so swapping like for like means you'll burn more calories all the time.
Include some strength training in your schedule too - either twenty minutes of weight-training (one set of fifteen repetitions) three to four times a week or forty minutes once a week.
Most importantly don't increase your calorie intake as you exercise more -often people think they have burnt up enough calories to warrant a bag of chips on the way home. So keep your diet in check as well as working out.
There are various Bio-Synergy products that help promote weight management including:
Skinny Water™ contains a unique combination of ingredients to help you maximise weight loss. Naturally occurring amino acids and minerals help suppress appetite, which in turn increases the metabolic rate enabling the body to burn more fat. So what's the secret behind Bio-Synergy Skinny Water? It's the added benefits of Chromium and L-Carnitine. These nutrients have been scientifically proven to banish sugar cravings and help turn fat into energy.
Bio-Synergy CLA Body Perfect Capsules have been developed as a fat-burning aid, boost the metabolic rate and in turn help burn more calories. CLA has been shown not only to reduce body fat, but also to increase lean muscle and enhance recovery. For optimum results its recommended two capsules are taken daily before breakfast and lunch with a glass of water.
