GE Healthcare IT, a division of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) and a leading provider of clinical, financial and administrative information technology solutions, announced its Centricity® PACS-IW (formerly Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb® PACS) products have been ranked number one by KLAS and MD Buyline. The announcement was made at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference in Seattle, May 15-18, 2008.

For the eighth consecutive quarter MD Buyline (http://www.mdbuyline.com), an independent medical technology and informatics intelligence firm, ranked Centricity PACS-IW number one in its latest Full Intelligence Report for PACS (April 2008). The solution achieved the highest overall user satisfaction composite rating and also led in six out of seven evaluated categories: systems performance; system reliability; installation and implementation; applications training; service and support; and product flexibility; and in the seventh category of integration, ranked second. MD Buyline has a member network of more than 3,200 hospitals.

Additionally, Centricity PACS-IW was ranked the number one PACS by KLAS in their annual PACS-Acute Care report, April 2008 (http://www.klasresearch.com). The report, which ranked the top twelve PACS vendors, surveyed over 600 hospitals with 200 or more beds on current vendor performance and trends in the PACS market. Centricity PACS-IW was the only vendor to receive a perfect score in the evaluated business indicators, including completion of contract, implementation within budget, desire to recommend peer and overall ranking compared to peers.

"Validation of our customer's success with PACS-IW has come from two independent, highly respected industry analysts, " said Don Woodlock, Vice President and General Manager, GE Healthcare IITS. "It's fantastic to be ranked number one in both of these reports, which is an incredibly rare honor in the PACS marketplace. Meeting our customers' needs with high quality, transformational products is at the center of our early health vision. Through this effort we continue to strive to be number one with our customers in every way. Their success is our success."

Centricity PACS-IW is a standards-based, single user interface, Web-based PACS for new and replacement PACS. Unlimited volume-based licensing with either turnkey or software-only deployment enables users to maximize access using a cost-effective, highly scalable model. Access from any Internet connection is completely portable with a personalized user experience tailored to the user ID without limitation to viewer tools (e.g., 3D, MIP/MPR) or capabilities of the active study list.
