AVAC Report 2008: The Search Must Continue, AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition: The report provides a review of recent developments in efforts to develop an HIV/AIDS vaccine. It also examines issues that have been raised following the recent failure of a Merck vaccine candidate, as well as the primary participants in vaccine research. In addition, the report makes recommendations for advancing vaccine and prevention research. The 11th annual report was released ahead of HIV Vaccine Awareness Day on May 18 (AVAC release, 5/15).
