A food allergy occurs when the immune system reacts to a certain food, believing it to be harmful. Allergic symptoms can affect the respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, skin or cardiovascular system. Frail, older people can be at increased consequential risk.

The Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH) has asked us to advise details of its one day Food Allergies course - to be held in central London on Monday, September 29th this year. As the general public become more aware of food allergies, those professionals concerned with food safety need to be fully aware of all aspects of symptom recognition, treatment and legislation,

The course is in two parts: A brief pre-Course Learning foundation, to be completed before attendance; and the One Day Interactive Workshop itself. For complete course synopsis, venue details and to download a booking form, go to http://www.riph.org.uk/pdf/food_allergies_course.pdf

The Royal Institute of Public Health is recognised as a leading independent and international body - dedicated to the promotion, practice and protection of public health.
