A 4-year-old girl and her 2-year-old brother suffered broken bones Saturday morning apparently after falling from the fifth floor of an apartment complex in Chofu, western Tokyo, police said.

According to Chofu Police Station, a local resident called the emergency services after finding the girl walking around crying near the apartment building at about 10:40 a.m. Paramedics arrived shortly after and found that the girl had suffered a broken arm, while her brother had broken his pelvis, the police said.

The girl reportedly told police she had fallen from the balcony of the fifth-floor apartment where she lives. There is a lawn directly below the balcony.
