The NAD Conference Is Almost Here!

It's almost time for the 49th Biennial National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana July 7-11, 2008. The good times will definitely be rolling, so we hope you will join the more than 1,300 people already registered!

The conference schedule is packed with fantastic talent, surprises, magic and creativity - a feast for the eyes and hands!

Conference Events

- Welcome Ceremony - Kick off the week and get into the NAD spirit!

- ASL Live! - Enjoy an evening of competition where you will help to determine the most theatrically presented material in ASL.

- College Bowl Finals - Cheer for your Alma Mater, your favorite team or your friends!

- Miss Deaf America Finals - See if you can predict who will win the title!

- Masquerade Ball and Banquet - Dress up and celebrate! Be dazzled by the Wild Zappers; Sammy Ruiz, deaf magician, and the Krewe of Dauphine. Don't forget to bring a mask! Tickets available onsite until Tuesday, July 8, 12 Noon.

-Youth Luncheon - Celebrate deaf and hard of hearing youth. Tickets available onsite until Tuesday, July 8, 12 Noon.

- New! De'VIA Creative Space - Create your own personal artwork with the guidance of renowned deaf artist, Chuck Baird, and work on or watch a performance in ASL on the open stage during scheduled sessions.

-Workshops - There will be more than seventy creative, exciting, and informative workshops. If you are a NAD or RID certified interpreter, you can earn CEUs.

Conference Registration

- Both On-site and Pre-Registration will take place on the 2nd floor of the hotel.

- Registration hours: Sunday-Thursday, July 6-10 - 8:30-11:30a; 12:30-5:30pm; Friday, July 11 - 8:30-11:30am

- Basic registration includes a program book which will be your guide to the conference.

- Only Non-Combo Registration will be sold on-site; cash or credit card only (Visa and MasterCard only); No checks, no exceptions.

- If you pre-registered, please remember, meals are not included in the Combo, including the Masquerade Ball and Banquet.
