ORLANDO, FL (UroToday.com) - A presentation by Drs. Judy Choi, Byron Alex and John Mulhall examined predictors and reasons for the delay in presentation in Peyronie's disease that is invariably seen.
The mean duration of symptoms prior to presentation was 17 months.
In this group of 482 patients with a mean age of 52, factors which predicted the delay were older age, relationship duration of greater than 10 years, being heterosexual, being Caucasian and having a simple deformity.
Presented by Judy M. Choi, MD, et al., at the Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA) - May 17 - 22, 2008. Orange County Convention Center - Orlando, Florida, USA.
