ASHP provided detailed suggestions to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to improve the agency's proposed survey to assess adherence to measures that protect the safety and health of healthcare workers.

ASHP encouraged NIOSH to decrease the complexity and length of the survey where possible to increase participation by respondents. The Society advised NIOSH to assess proper practices for product preparation, labeling, and spill contamination. ASHP also offered its expertise to help develop survey questions on these topics.

Watch http://www.ashp.org for more information on how to take the survey.
