Tonight the RACGP's NSW & ACT Faculty is celebrating the opening of its new premises at College House, 12 Mount Street, North Sydney.
The faculty's new offices overlook the Sydney foreshores and can cater for a multitude of events and activities. Facilities include a Board Room with harbour and city views, computer access for members, a library, and a fully-equipped education suite including seminar room, eight break-out rooms and catering facilities.
"We hope our new offices will provide a collegiate meeting place for general practitioners, their practice teams, and colleagues from other organisations," said Dr Di O'Halloran, Chair, RACGP NSW & ACT Faculty.
The evening will feature a welcome from the Dr Vasantha Preetham, RACGP President and a presentation from Dr Chris Mitchell, RACGP Vice President on the partnership between the College's NSW & ACT and National Rural Faculties. The offices will then be officially opened by The Honorable Reba Meagher MP, the NSW Minister for Health.
"I'd like to congratulate the College on their Golden Jubilee and in particular on the opening of their new premises in North Sydney," the Minister said.
