Last month it was announced that Diabetes UK won the Everyclick Charity Challenge, winning a national outdoor advertising campaign. This great opportunity will see the re-launch of the popular Measure Up campaign.

A number of innovative methods were created to promote the Everyclick service to supporters via the internet, both internally and externally. This resulted in 118,836 searches through Everyclick which raised £4,584.88 for the charity.

Everyclick founder Polly Gowers has praised the combined efforts of Diabetes UK and the supporters, "Diabetes UK displayed incredible determination and drive in gaining momentum for its campaign and is a thoroughly deserving winner."

Why Measure Up?

The Measure Up campaign has been successfully run since 2006 both nationally and concentrated in London. The campaign has not only increased the awareness of the risk factors of diabetes, but also persuaded those at risk to take a diabetes test. Measure Up has also helped to change the public's attitudes towards diabetes by highlighting the serious consequences if the condition is left untreated.

Continued promotion of these vital messages is important and the Everyclick competition provides the perfect platform to do this. The campaign will primarily target those over the age of forty and those with waist measurements that may put them at risk of Type 2 diabetes.

The campaign launches on 14 July and is also in association with Clear Channel Outdoor who will place the advertising.
