The NPA Education and Training Department is now taking bookings for the Preregistration Trainee Pharmacist Training Programme 2008/2009. The programme covers key components of the syllabus as well as those elements that are difficult to cover in the pharmacy (e.g. First Aid Training). Candidates will have a choice of three venues for the study courses: Wakefield, Birmingham and St Albans.
Sabina Khanom NPA Pharmacist Training Officer said: "This programme is open to all preregistration trainee pharmacists working for NPA members and provides a great opportunity to share learning and network with other preregistration trainee pharmacists and NPA staff. We received excellent feedback from last year's group and are very excited about supporting this year's group enabling them to develop into competent and confident pharmacists."
As well as the two study courses to be held in October 2008 and January/February 2009 the programme will culminate in April's preregistration trainee pharmacist conference in Birmingham. The conference provides preregistration trainee pharmacists with extensive support for the registration exams. This includes mock exams, revision workshops and a prize giving ceremony.
The investment price is £1,500 + VAT including resources and accommodation during courses. Closing date for bookings is 11 August 2008. For more information contact NPA Education and Training on 01727 800402 email training.dept@npa.co.uk or logon to www.npa.co.uk/members/education_and_training.php.
