GE Healthcare, a division of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), prides itself on outstanding service to complement its innovative technology. Remote technology is one example of how GE is transforming essential services into extraordinary outcomes. Today, the company has proudly announced its 10,000th InSiteExC remote connection when it delivered and installed a LOGIQ® e ultrasound unit to Shoals Surgical Group in northwest Alabama.

InsiteExC's innovative digital connectivity offers customers access to automated resolution of service and applications issues, delivering efficient assistance for equipment repair and on-demand clinical applications support. It provides customers with peace of mind through faster e-service requests. With the customer's permission, GE Live Assist experts use InSiteExC to connect into the system to diagnose and often fix a problem, as well as notify frontline field service teams before repairs are needed, maximizing uptime and performance.

InSiteExC is enabled in other GE Healthcare products including Ultrasound, Lunar Bone Mineral Densitometry equipment and products within the Monitoring Solutions and Diagnostic Cardiology and Invasive Cardiology lines.

"We're happy to be the 10,000th GE customer to utilize InsiteExC and look forward to using it to enhance our technological edge with this product. Our vein practice is totally dependent upon all the hardware working correctly so this is essential to our success," said Elaine Brooks, CMPE Administrator, Shoals Surgical Group, LLC.

"GE Healthcare is dedicated to providing exceptional remote services capability as part of creating a world-class experience for our customers" said Hooman Hakami Vice President and General Manager, GE Healthcare Clinical Systems Services. "We congratulate the Shoals Surgical Group on being our 10,000th InsiteExC customer and are proud to provide them with one of the best remote services capabilities in the healthcare industry."

InSiteExC supports industry network standards while maintaining a high level of security and HIPAA compliant processes for digital service transmissions. In general, no special configurations are necessary to accommodate InSiteExC nor does the system compromise existing firewalls.

In addition to its valuable benefit to customers, InsiteExC is eco-friendly, allowing for a reduction in carbon emissions by eliminating unnecessary field service mileage.

"In our continued development of Insite ExC, we are committed toward building innovative service tools that help our customers get to the point of care," Hakami stated. "We look forward to continuing to expand our remote capabilities as we work on the next 10,000 connections."
