The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain is encouraging individual and team nominations for the PHARMAS for Pharmacy Awards 2008, which are being held in Birmingham on 12 October.
The Society is supporting five out of the 14 awards in the following categories:
- Outstanding contribution to Community Pharmacy Practice
- Hospital Pharmacist of the Year
- Industrial Pharmacist of the Year
- Pet Medicine Pharmacist of the Year
- Outstanding contribution to Pharmacy Education
The award ceremony will be held at the Hilton Metropole NEC and will be presented by a lineup of high profile pharmacy figures and celebrities.
Patrick Stubbs, the Society's Head of Membership & Marketing Services, said: "The PHARMAS Awards embrace all aspects of pharmacy. Being awarded a PHARMAS Award is a great honour and will help to boost the winner's pharmacy profile. It is proof to peers, colleagues and patients that their work has been judged to be amongst the best in the pharmacy field."
