A nationally recognized healthcare policy expert at UC San Diego School of Medicine is available to discuss campaign issues related to healthcare plans/promises.

Richard Kronick, Ph.D., professor, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and adjunct professor, Department of Political Science, is available to speak on many healthcare-related issues such as strategies for covering the uninsured, options for controlling cost growth, and Medicare and Medicaid policy.

Dr. Kronick served as a Senior Health Care Policy Advisor in the Clinton Administration, where he contributed to the development of President Clinton's proposal for health care reform. He also served as Director of Policy and Reimbursement in the Massachusetts Department of Public Welfare and the Assistant Director in the Massachusetts Office of Health Policy. He is also involved in the Healthcare Executive Leadership Program (HELP), a program designed by UC San Diego in the mid 90s to augment the experience of healthcare executives from a variety of backgrounds.
