Launch Of The Global Malaria Report 2008

The World Health Organization (WHO) will launch this week its most comprehensive analysis of the world malaria situation.

The World Malaria Report 2008 describes the global distribution of cases and deaths, and how WHO-recommended control strategies have been adopted and implemented in endemic countries. It also details sources of funding for malaria control as well as recent evidence that prevention and treatment can alleviate the burden of disease.

A press pack, including a news release, the report highlights, country profiles, a two- page-document explaining the methodology used to produce the report, a B-Roll, the full report and the report summery in different languages, will be available here
