Philips Ranks No. 1 In Overall Service Performance In Ultrasound All Systems 2008 IMV Servicetrak™ Reports

Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) announced that customers have again rated Philips Healthcare No. 1 in overall service performance for Ultrasound All Systems, comprising Radiology/OB-Gyn and Cardiology instruments, in the annual IMV ServiceTrak™ surveys.

The results of the 2008 IMV analysis also show Philips earning a No. 1 ranking in overall manufacturer satisfaction and a No. 1 ranking for probability of repurchase for ultrasound.

"Focusing on the needs of our customers is the number one priority for our service organization, and this top ranking for ultrasound customer service underscores our customer commitment," said Tom Kirkland, senior vice president of customer services, North America, for Philips Healthcare. "By tracking and measuring our service performance we are able to continually improve the high quality of service we deliver and ensure we're helping our customers deliver the best patient care possible. The IMV ServiceTrak™ survey is a valuable measurement tool that provides important customer feedback."

In an independent survey by IMV Limited, customers were asked to rate ultrasound systems manufacturers on a broad range of factors across the product ownership lifecycle. For the Ultrasound All Systems report, Philips received top marks in 26 of 34 categories measured in the study, including those of service engineer performance, satisfaction with service and manufacturer, help desk telephone support and probability of repurchase.
