GE Healthcare's Datex-Ohmeda anesthesia delivery solutions have been ranked #1 for the 10th straight quarter by MD Buyline, a customer opinion research company on medical devices and service.
Solid scores in six categories
GE Healthcare maintained strong scores in the six opinion categories: system performance, system reliability, installation/implementation, applications training, service response time and service repair quality. GE Healthcare's number one ranking was - for the 10th consecutive quarter - comfortably ahead of its competitors in terms of the composite score, according to Mike Battuello, General Manager for GE Healthcare's Life Systems Services.
"Due to the Risk 1 classification of anesthesia equipment, it is critical that this equipment be properly maintained," he said. "That's why we have a nationwide staff of 184 intensively trained and certified field engineers. Each of our field service engineers have, on average, 12 years of xperience - and many have over 20 years. They know their territories, they know their customers and they make heroic efforts to keep the customers' GE Healthcare anesthesia systems performing exceptionally at the point of care."
Service commitment benefits Denver center
Recently, one GE Healthcare customer, The Children's Hospital of Denver in Denver, Colorado experienced this dedication on the occasion of a tricky relocation of the medical center.
"GE Healthcare Life Systems Services field personnel Jerry Lavene and Mark Woolfolk were here long hours installing the new machines," recalled Thomas A. Majcher, D.O., Clinical Director of Anesthesia Services at The Children's Hospital. "Mark was here to answer questions, install equipment and support us in any way he could. He was a key player in making this move successful, as he has not only years of experience with anesthesia machines and monitors, but also has specific knowledge as to how our department functions and interfaces with the GE Healthcare equipment."
Another area in which GE Healthcare provides exceptional customer service is in regulatory compliance of anesthesia machines, Battuello added. Clinical sites need to be able to document that anesthesia delivery systems are maintained per manufacturer specifications.
"Proper maintenance and repair requires regulatory compliance, mandatory training, the use of correct procedures, accurate documentation, calibrated test equipment and highly skilled personnel," he said. "By striving to meet and exceed customer expectations, we're confident we can sustain these consistently high customer marks for GE Healthcare services."
