Lippincott Williams & Wilkins has signed an agreement with the Dermatology Nurses Association to publish their brand new Journal of the Dermatology Nurses' Association (JDNA). Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) is part of Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading provider of information and business intelligence for students, professionals, and institutions in medicine, nursing, allied health, pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry.

Journal of the Dermatology Nurses' Association (JDNA), the Dermatology Nurses' Association's (DNA) official journal, will feature the latest peer-reviewed dermatology news, research, and clinical content. The first issue of the journal will publish in February 2009 and DNA members will receive the journal free as a benefit of membership. The full content of the publication will also be accessible online. Continuing Education opportunities will be provided in each issue and may be taken online.

The publishing agreement with Lippincott Williams & Wilkins provides the DNA with full control over editorial content. "The association is at the point now where we believe we can control our own destiny, our own future," said Victoria Elliott, DNA's executive director. "Our new, self-owned journal can become the unique voice of the DNA and help to shape the vision of the DNA."

New journal editor Cynthia R. King, PhD, NP, MSN, RN, FAAN, commented, "This is an exciting time for our organization. It will be a thrilling, creative time for the members of the DNA. Starting the Journal of Dermatology Nurses' Association with DNA and LWW will allow our diverse and talented members to contribute in many different ways. Members are invited to review columns, articles, products; serve on the Editorial Board; or write a short article on important dermatology developments. I look forward to every member participating in some capacity."

"JDNA will be the first Lippincott Williams & Wilkins nursing publication that is completely focused on dermatology nurses. We are honored that this prestigious and reputable society has chosen to partner with us," said Kathleen Phelan, Publisher of JDNA at LWW.
