Sportline, the brand leader in personal fitness monitoring, has unveiled two new pedometers that directly challenge the notion that pedometers belong only on the hip.

Meet Qlip (pronounced "clip") and TraQ (pronounced "track"), two digital pedometers that provide a fresh way for wearers to track and monitor their health and fitness progress.

Designed with health and fitness enthusiasts in mind, the Qlip and TraQ pedometers accurately track fitness goals in multiple orientations and in a variety of locations on the body, such as fastened to an arm or waistband, clipped vertically to a hat, or tightly secured in a pocket or purse.

By creating Qlip and TraQ, Sportline is seeking to break the mold and stereotypes associated with traditional hip-worn pedometers. The result is two sleekly designed pedometers that offer a unique and affordable solution to individuals looking to access real-time feedback while pursuing health and fitness goals.

"For people who exercise regularly, using tools to monitor their fitness progress is very important -- they just don't want to be limited or inconvenienced by those tools," said Dan Kinsbourne, vice president of marketing for Sportline. "With TraQ and Qlip, we're expanding pedometer versatility to meet the evolving needs of active consumers."

The ability for Qlip and TraQ to function from multiple positions is made possible by Sportline's Infiniti Motion Sensor technology. This unique pedometer technology is exclusive to Sportline products and utilizes a customized motion-sensing accelerometer to measure body movement from multiple orientations.

Like other pedometers, Qlip and TraQ will track steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned and total time in activity. TraQ also features a seven-day total workout memory recall, which allows wearers to monitor and track their exercise progress week to week.
