The Drug Information Association (DIA) will host the 3rd Annual Conference on Drug Discovery and Clinical Development in India (December 7-10; Mumbai, India) will continue its tradition of addressing current solid scientific research in India pertaining to global development of drugs and biologics.

Driven by the need to improve R&D productivity and efficiency and the desire to access untapped markets, global pharmaceutical companies have increasingly off shored and outsourced operations to India. A wide array of factors, however, can dictate whether such a move is successful. DIA will convene global experts from industry, academia, and regulatory for a provocative discussion on the challenges and issues facing drug discovery and clinical development in India. Topics will include: Rashmi Barbhaiya, Ph.D, CEO, Managing Director and Co-founder of Advinus Therapeutics, and Surinder Singh, MD, Drug Controller General of India, will deliver the keynote addresses.
