Jasper Wireless Helps Activ4Life Launch Its Solution For Patients' Post-Operative Care - Transmits Report On Patient's Health To Clinician

Jasper Wireless today announced that Active4Life is using its machine-to-machine (M2M) service platform to connect and manage its Activ4Life® ProV3.8 solution. This monitoring system transmits to the responsible clinician detailed information on the daily physical activity of the patient (distance covered, time taken) as well as on his general state of health (intensity of pain). With the right kind of monitoring, patients can recover more quickly from a surgical procedure (e.g. knee and hip replacements) and the costs of medical care can be significantly reduced. The medical team can make a diagnosis more easily and make better informed decisions for more effective and efficient treatment.

This innovative solution consists of a small activity monitor worn by the patient and a dock on which the monitor is placed in order to transmit information on a daily basis. The Jasper Wireless service enables Activ4Life to service patients in several countries with minimal effort. Equipment is tested in a single location at the point of manufacture with free factory testing from Jasper Wireless. In addition, the service is automatically activated without the intervention of the patient, information is transmitted securely and the wireless connection of the dock can be permanently controlled in order to monitor data transmission.
