Health Care Systems Around the World," Insure the Uninsured Project: In the research paper, ITUP consultant Alyssa Schabloski examines the universal health care systems of 10 countries: Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Schabloski discusses the similar challenges these health care systems face, such as increasing health care costs and providing equal access to high-quality care.

She also discusses similarities in the underlying values used to structure these health systems and how examining what does and does not work in other countries could help shape the debate over the creation of a universal health care system in the U.S. (Schabloski, Insure the Uninsured Project release, 11/6).
