"Keeping the Health Reform Coalition Together," Kaiser Family Foundation: In the essay, Kaiser Family Foundation President and CEO Drew Altman says that the future health reform debate needs to avoid a rift between advocates of long-term health care delivery system changes and those who think there should be immediate help for the uninsured and the insured struggling with health care costs. Altman also examines whether budget issues and a crowded policy agenda that could limit health reform to incremental changes could divide the health reform coalition. The essay is the latest installment of a Foundation series, titled "Pulling It Together ... from Drew Altman" (Kaiser Family Foundation release, 11/11).

< Theme issue, American Journal of Public Health: The November issue of AJPH focuses on health care for immigrants. The issue includes studies that examine state-level health care access and use among children in U.S. immigrant families, access to and use of health services among undocumented Mexican immigrants in U.S. urban areas, as well as other reports looking at health care disparities among immigrants (American Journal of Public Health, November 2008).
