Geisinger Heart Expert Interview To Appear On ReachMD, XM 160

Peter B. Berger, MD, Director of Geisinger's Center for Clinical Studies and an interventional cardiologist at Geisinger's Heart Institute, is featured on Reach MD's Heart Matters program, at XM Satellite Radio Channel 160, beginning Monday, January 26 2009. Dr. Berger, a recognized expert in the field of antiplatelet therapy and stenting, will address controversies related to antiplatelet therapy and stenting.

Hosting Dr. Berger's interview segment is American College of Cardiology President W. Douglas Weaver, MD.

Dr. Berger is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American College of Cardiology and the Board of Internal Medicine (Interventional Cardiology). He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and, in that capacity, helps write the Interventional Cardiology Board Exam. He currently serves, or recently served on the Cath and Interventional Cardiology Committees of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention. He is a member of numerous professional societies and editorial boards, and has participated in and led dozens of research studies throughout his career.
