Free Early Education Program To Lower Infertility Rates

Young women may not be quite ready to have a baby now, but they should be seeking the answers to essential questions that may determine if they'll be able to have a baby when they are ready. The best time to seek these answers? For women in their 20s, infertility prevention is often ignored until it's too late. Most young women have been taught to do everything possible to keep from getting pregnant without thinking about the possibility of having children in the future.

Manicures & Martinis kicks off at 6 p.m., January 27, at Dashing Diva nail salon in Manhattan's Gramercy Park. Jamie Grifo, M.D., Ph.D., of NYU School of Medicine will be the featured speaker at this inaugural event. Women who are at least 21 years old are invited to enjoy a complimentary manicure and martini while having a conversation with Dr. Grifo on simple steps that can be taken now to enhance the chances of conceiving later. We'll also be serving the Fertilitini(TM) -- an organic, alcohol-free specialty drink whose recipe is the result of a contest. Manicures & Martinis is expected to roll through approximately 20 U.S. cities in 2009.
