In response to the Center for Disease Control's Swine Influenza Alert, Upp Technology, Inc. the leading provider of Emergency Management Solutions for Statewide Public Health officials has activated its Emergency Support Teams to assist states in the event they need to activate their RSS sites for processing and distributing the CDC's bulk movement of Swine Flu Vaccines.
Most states utilize Upp's IRMS GOKIT, a mobile logistics solution that moves with emergency responders and is pre-configured with the IRMS Emergency Management System. This allows first responders to have complete control over the receipt, staging, and mobilization of emergency pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment. The solution also includes pre-configured CBRNE models, vendor managed inventory, fatality management, GPS tracking, and patient tracking and triage. The IRMS Emergency Management System also manages the distribution of Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) push packs through PODs where individualized distribution of vaccines to patients are recorded and transmitted back to the state's public health information network. Furthermore, IRMS Emergency Management automates the CDC's Doses Administered Reporting.
