Apply now for the 2010 ADEA Awards, a longstanding program that recognizes excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research and provides funding for fellowship opportunities. Educators and students from all predoctoral, postdoctoral, and allied member institutions are encouraged to apply.
There are 16 scholarship opportunities ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. Stipends and fellowships between $6,000 and $15,000 are available for participation in the ADEA Leadership Institute or for members interested in pursuing research in advocacy, educational policy, or equity and diversity. ADEA Fellows spend three months at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, working with staff on projects aligned with their interests. In addition to the William J. Gies Awards for Vision, Innovation, and Achievement, awards for institutions recognize innovative solutions in addressing access to care issues and implant dentistry.
The ADEA Awards program is made possible through the generous support of ADEA corporate sponsors and oral health partners. Corporate sponsors of the 2010 ADEA Awards are Colgate-Palmolive Co.; Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc.; The Procter & Gamble Company; and Sunstar Americas, Inc. The National Dental Association (NDA); ADEAGies Foundation; International Federation of Dental Educators and Associations (IFDEA); ADEA Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows; Sigma Phi Alpha; and Alpha Omega Foundation are also partners in the ADEA Awards.
