In response to the Responsible Pharmacist regulations due to take effect from 1 October 2009 the NPA has produced a guidance document which accompanies the range of Responsible Pharmacist Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) also available from the NPA.
The NPA Guidance FAQs are based upon the most common queries received from community pharmacists at NPA Responsible Pharmacist Workshops and by the information services team.
Wing Tang, NPA Senior Information Pharmacist said: "We have received many calls on how the Responsible Pharmacist Regulations will affect work practices. The NPA Guidance FAQs aim to help members deal with the different scenarios which they may encounter."
Sections in the Responsible Pharmacist Guidance Notes include:
- Background to the Responsible Pharmacist
- Pharmacy Notice
- Pharmacy Record
- SOPs
- Absence
- Terms of Service
- Rest Breaks.
