Swish And Enviro-Solutions To Launch SDC-Based Disinfectants In Canada And US

PURE Bioscience (NASDAQ:PURE) announced an agreement with Charlotte Products Ltd. whereby Charlotte Products will blend and package PURE's patented silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC)-based hard surface disinfectant, which will be distributed in Canada and the US through Swish Maintenance Limited, Swish (USA) and Enviro-Solutions Limited. Swish Maintenance will distribute the SDC-based disinfectant under the brand Swish Silver Supreme in Canada, and Swish (USA) will also distribute that product in the US. In addition, Enviro-Solutions will market the product as ES360 Full Circle Silver Disinfectant in the US.

Krall, President and CEO of PURE Bioscience, stated, "Health Canada's rigorous process for approving the safety, efficacy and quality of disinfectants can take more than two years, and we appreciate the work and investment by Charlotte Products to obtain a DIN for its SDC-based disinfectant so it may now be sold in Canada by Swish Maintenance. We look forward to Swish's launch in Canada in early 2010 as well as launches by Swish (USA) and Enviro-Solutions following completion of US state registrations for Swish Silver Supreme and ES360 Full Circle Silver Disinfectant."

Enviro-Solutions Ltd. and Swish Maintenance Ltd. have registered their brands with the US EPA as a sub-registrant of PURE Bioscience and are currently undergoing registration in all 50 states - a process that can take up to six months. In accordance with the agreement, each bottle of Swish Silver Supreme and ES360 Full Circle Silver Disinfectant features PURE's "Powered by SDC" logo.

Swish Silver Supreme/EX360 Full Circle Silver Disinfectant completely eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungi. Independent lab studies and resulting EPA-registered claims document that the disinfectant kills resistant strains of bacteria, including MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), CA-MRSA, PVL-MRSA and VRE (Vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecium) in just 2 minutes. In addition, the SDC-based disinfectant provides a 30-second kill time on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Salmonella enteric and a 24-hour residual kill on standard indicator bacteria. Important viral efficacy claims include a 3-minute kill against Human Corona virus (SARS surrogate) and Rotavirus and a 10-minute kill against Norovirus, Human Influenza A and Avian Influenza A (Bird Flu). In addition, this novel formula is odorless, colorless, non-corrosive, non-flammable and is compatible with other disinfecting and cleaning chemicals.
