A woman who apparently used to be a man pretended to be a plastic surgeon so that she could carry out breast exams of strangers in a bar. Kristina Ross, 37, fooled the women with her medical jargon, probably picked up during her own breast augmentation procedures required for her sex change.

She was arrested last Tuesday after being accused of examining the breasts of two females under false pretenses in a bar and nightclub. A judge has set her bond at $100,000.

After examining strange women, Ross would give them a phone number of a real plastic surgery office. She would tell them to call for follow-up appointments. When prospective patients called the Boise, Idaho, office asking to see Dr Berlyn Aussieahshowna, the response would be that no such name existed there.

Staff at the medical office became alarmed at the number of calls asking for this Dr. Aussieahshowna. They eventually alerted the police.

Prospective patients also called the police. After one of the women who had tried to contact Dr. Aussieahshowna was interviewed by the police, Ross was arrested. The woman told police she had had had an initial evaluation of her breasts in a bar, and then called a number and became suspicious.

The police checked Ross’ background and discovered she had been in prison in 2004 for aggravated battery. Prison documents listed her as male-to-female (M-T-F) and was registered as Kristoffer Jon Ross.

Ross has been charged with practicing medicine without a license, a felony in the USA if you are not a doctor. She could face a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each count.

The police believe there may be other women who underwent fake breast examinations in bars and nightclubs.
