The American Council on Exercise (ACE), America's nonprofit fitness advocate, is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with SCW Fitness Education (SCW), formerly Sara's City Workout. SCW offers a variety of high-quality fitness instructor education programs including Specialty Certificates, home-study programs, MANIA conventions and products ranging from Pilates to Pregnancy and Aquatics to Aging. In a collaborative effort, the two organizations will work together to offer increased continuing education and certification opportunities for ACE-certified and other fitness professionals and attendees of SCW MANIA conventions.

"SCW Fitness has always worked with some of the industry's most recognized educators to develop courseware and present educational workshops at SCW MANIA events," said Graham Melstrand, Director of Educational Services for ACE. "With SCW supporting the fitness industry's move towards a credible standard for credentialing, the opportunity presented itself to demonstrate our shared commitment to support quality continuing education programs for the fitness professional."

Through the partnership, ACE will now host its Professional Forums at various SCW MANIA events throughout the year. SCW will also offer ACE Certification exams and continue to offer ACE-approved continuing education courses at its events creating more professional development opportunities for ACE-certified and other fitness professionals.

"SCW is extremely pleased to have formalized this partnership with ACE," said Sara Kooperman, CEO SCW Fitness Education. "We are committed to educating the fitness professional and we consider our relationship with ACE to be a very positive extension of this mission."
