According to a source in Australia who wrote to Medical News Today, wheat and milk is not used in the production of McDonald's Australia's French fries. Australia's laws on providing product information is a lot stricter than has been the case in the USA.

Just because wheat and milk has been used in the production of McDonald's French fries in the USA does not necessarily mean this is the case all over the world. It depends on the laws of each country.

It seems Australia is better at protecting the consumer than the USA is.

If you want to know whether wheat and/or milk is used in the production of McDonald's French Fries in your country, and you are not in the USA, it may be wise to check with the local offices of McDonald's or the food standards agency of your country.

At Medical News Today we would be interested in whether wheat and/or milk is used in the production of McDonald's French Fries in your country. Please write to pressrelease@medicalnewstoday.com

Some people are suing McDonald's in the USA because it has been found that the company adds milk and wheat to its French fries. Many people are gluten intolerant (wheat contains gluten) and cannot consume gluten. Others don't consume milk for various reasons. People in the USA have been under the impression that McDonald's French Fries contained just cooking oil and potato.
