AgaMatrix, Inc., a privately held developer and manufacturer of blood glucose monitoring products, has received clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") to sell its Zero-Click(TM) Blood Glucose Data Management System ("Zero-Click"). Zero-Click makes it easier for users to download and manage data from AgaMatrix's blood glucose monitoring systems ("BGMS").

This data management product is the only system in the world featuring Zero-Click technology, which enables users to effortlessly download data via a USB style connection by simply connecting a BGMS to a computer. No keyboard or mouse clicks are required for a user to be able to view or download data from their meter, much in the same way that a computer automatically detects and plays audio CDs.

Zero-Click can be operated in two modes: a home user mode optimized for ease-of-use for self-testers and a professional mode designed for more advanced users and multi-patient support by health care providers.

The software also uniquely features proprietary Virtual Meter(TM) technology, which enables users to quickly update numerous settings on their BGMS directly from their computer, without having to navigate through difficult menus on their meter.

Zero-Click supports all meters Powered By WaveSense(TM), including the WaveSense(TM) KeyNote(TM) BGMS (sold in the US), the Liberty(TM)-branded BGMS (sold in the US), the iTest(TM) BGMS (sold in Canada), the Wellion(TM) Linus(TM) BGMS (sold in Europe), the GracePro(TM) BGMS (sold in China), and other Wave 1(TM) products sold throughout the world.

"Zero-Click was designed from the ground up with the user in mind. Users simply have to plug in their meter to their computer and Zero-Click does the rest. At the clinic, care providers no longer have to fumble around with a mess of wires while trying to find the serial port and then attempting to figure out which program on their desktop to click on," said Sonny Vu, EVP of Business Development and Marketing at AgaMatrix.

AgaMatrix continues to find private label partners in other sales channels in the US and abroad for Zero-Click, as well as AgaMatrix's other BGMS products.

Other major makers of BGMS software to serve the $6 billion BGMS market include Roche, Johnson and Johnson, Bayer, and Abbott.
