Abdul Qadeer Khan, 70, is in 'excellent health' after satisfactorily recovering from prostate cancer surgery, says the Pakistani military. Khan, who was a key player in helping Pakistan become a nuclear power, also confessed to leaking nuclear weapons technology to Iran, Libya and North Korea. Khan was operated-on on September 16 this year.

The Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), Pakistan, said news about Khan's current good health should dispel any rumours to the contrary. The ISPR says Khan is now at home. Last month he was treated for a blood clot in his leg.

General Pervez Musharraf pardoned Khan for leaking sensitive nuclear information.
