Free access to a selection of Kluwer Academic Publishers' journals

New York, NY -- Kluwer Academic Publishers (KAP) announced recently that it has made all online content from seven leading Mathematics journals and eight leading Chemistry journals free through April 30, 2004. The free content includes all figures, tables and high-resolution images found in the printed journal and is continually-updated.

In a recent interview, Scott Delman, Vice President of Publishing for Kluwer, stated, 'Global access to peer reviewed scientific information is critical to the research process and advancement of knowledge. This free trial allows researchers and students an opportunity to explore hundreds of issues dating back to 1997 of a number of highly ranked Mathematics and Chemistry journals published by Kluwer Academic Publishers. By opening up access on a temporary basis it is our hope to raise awareness and further drive usage of these important scholarly journals.'

The Math journals include a mix of well-established journals like BIT Numerical Mathematics, published since 1961, and newer journals such as the Journal of Grid Computing. The other KAP Math titles with free online content are: K-Theory, Annals of Operations Research, Scientometrics, Geometriae Dedicata and the Journal of Mathematical Sciences.

The free content Chemistry journals cover a wide range of disciplines as covered in the following titles: Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, Journal of Chemical Crystallography, Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, Journal of Cluster Science: Including Nanoclusters and Nanoparticles, Catalysis Letters, Tribology Letters, and the Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry.

Researchers can access the free content through the end of April by visiting
http://journals.kluweronline.com/ and searching by individual journal titles.
