The American Roentgen Ray Society announces the launch of the new online women's imaging community http://www.womensimagingonline.org.
The website offers a user-friendly, comprehensive and reliable source of information to serve the diverse needs of the women's imaging community. The site includes: original articles, a job board, a news section, electronic exhibits, CME opportunities and much more.
The site will serve the entire women's imaging community, including physicians in practice, radiology residents, technologists, nurses, business managers, patients and patient advocacy groups, and industry and vendors.
"This is not only an academic resource, but also a valuable toolkit for everyday practice. This Website represents a public service, a forum for research, a platform for contacts in industry, and a guide for practice management," said Marcia Javitt, MD, chair of the WIO advisory panel.
About ARRS
The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) was founded in 1900 and is the oldest radiology society in the United States. Its monthly journal, the American Journal of Roentgenology, began publication in 1906. Radiologists from all over the world attend the ARRS Annual Meeting to take part in instructional courses, scientific paper presentations, symposia, new issues forums and scientific and commercial exhibits related to the field of radiology. The Society is named after the first Nobel Laureate in Physics, Wilhelm Röentgen, who discovered the X-ray in 1895.
