Diabetes UK has introduced a new way to report your experiences of diabetes care. The 24-hour 'Hot Topics' telephone voicemail service will provide people with the opportunity to record their experiences of diabetes services and help us to help improve the care available to people affected by the condition.

"Poor access to blood glucose monitoring strips and retinal screening, waiting times for appointments, and lack of support for children with diabetes are just a few of the issues that have been previously emphasised," said Charlotte Gosden, Information Analyst at Diabetes UK.

"Reporting these topics to Diabetes UK highlights areas of the country in which diabetes care is falling short and allows us to target regions in which diabetes services are in need of improvement."

You can call Hot Topics telephone voicemail box 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to leave a message. No personal details are required, but it would be useful for us to know the caller's town and postcode. All information you give will be kept strictly confidential and all callers will remain anonymous.

The number to dial is 0845 122 8624.
