Could you help? Diabetes UK is looking for people with diabetes with experience of inpatient care to give their views to senior policy makers at a meeting in London on Thursday 13 September.

Full expenses will be paid including travel and childcare and carer costs.

What we are looking for:

- People with experience of inpatient care including people who have been admitted to hospital with a diabetic condition or complications or with another illness
- People who were diagnosed in hospital
- Parents of children who meet one of these criteria
- A range of ages and backgrounds and people from different communities including people from Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Communities.

Help and support is provided to help you contribute to the meeting, including full access for people with disabilities.

We are looking for 20 people in total.

This conference is part of a unique collaboration between Department of Health and NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. A one-day workshop is being held aiming to improve patient experience, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and reduce the length of stay, resulting in better quality and value of care.

If you meet one of these criteria and would like to attend the meeting please write to David Jones at Diabetes UK, 10 Parkway, London NW1 7AA or email david.jones@diabetes.org.uk by Wednesday 5 September 2007.

Please tell us how you meet these criteria and what you would bring to the group.
