CVCTA Education Receives Top Scores In SCCT'S CTA Review

CVCTA Education, a leading provider of top-tier medical educational programs, received the most positive reviews for its CTA courses in an online physician student review conducted by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). CVCTA uses Toshiba's Aquilion™ 64 CFX exclusively to provide physicians with the highest quality of CTA training.

Over the last three months, the SCCT has requested that all physicians who graduated from CTA courses across the country submit reviews of these courses. More than 300 reviews were submitted reviewing 16 different institutions/physicians offering CTA courses. More than 140 physician respondents, the largest segment in the entire survey, submitted positive reviews regarding CVCTA Education.

"By providing physicians the forum to share feedback on CTA courses nationwide, the SCCT is showing its commitment to quality physician education," added Doug Ryan, senior director, CT Business Unit, Toshiba America Medical Systems. "This is a tremendous achievement for the team at CVCTA."

Of CVCTA's 140 responses, 94.5% gave the course a "five," the top ranking on a scale of one-to-five. In addition, physicians were asked to provide written feedback on the course.

"Dr. DeFrance's courses are well executed and he keeps his audience engaged," said Dr. Mark Winkler, SDMI, via the online survey. "The interactive component is done well, and his course is well suited for cardiologists and radiologists."

CVCTA Education is able to meet physicians' needs and obtain these types of reviews by continuing to innovate medical education. For example, the company recently announced its offering of a Peripheral Vascular CTA (PV-CTA) training course - the first of its kind to exceed current ACCF/AHA Level 2 requirements in the ACCF/AHA Clinical Competence Statement on Cardiac Imaging with Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance.
