Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation announces its next international state of the science conference: "From Innovations to Practice: The Promise and Challenge of Achieving Recovery for All" to be held April 14 & 15, 2008.

The location will be the Hyatt Regency Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge, MA. There will be five pre conference institutes, two keynotes and 35 workshops in the two day period. Conference themes include Moving Systems Forward, Moving Programs Forward, Reaching Across Diverse Communities and Reaching Across the Workforce. Cultural and international issues will be highlighted within the overall emphasis on rehabilitation and recovery for persons with psychiatric disabilities.

The conference is co sponsored by the Consumer Organization and Networking Technical Assistance Center, the American College of Mental Health Administration and the National Resource Center for Hispanic Mental Health and is held in collaboration with the World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation. It is sponsored in part by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, the Center for Mental Health Services (SAMHSA), Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MA. and Learning Essentials.
