"Global Theme Issue on Poverty and Human Development," Journal of Infectious Diseases: The December issue of the journal includes articles about development issues in developing countries in Asia, Africa and the Americas, where poverty and diseases -- such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria -- are widespread. A special supplement to the journal also examines issues caregivers and HIV-positive people face that are associated with rolling out antiretroviral therapy (Journal of Infectious Diseases, December 2007).
