Doctors emphasize the importance and value of Medicare Advantage for their patients in a new television ad campaign launched by America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
The new ad, Doctors Stand by Medicare Advantage, features independent physicians from across the country who tout the array of benefits Medicare Advantage offers their patients, including preventive care, vision and dental coverage, and lower out-of-pocket costs.
"Medicare Advantage works for seniors because doctors and health plans collaborate to ensure patients receive better and more affordable care," said Karen Ignagni, President and CEO of AHIP.
The following physicians are featured in the ad:
- Dr. Miguel Franco; Internal Medicine and Pulmonology; Houston, Texas
- Dr. James Holly; Family Physician; Beaumont, Texas
- Dr. Louis Roddy; Internal Medicine and Pulmonology; Houston, Texas
- Dr. Osmundo Saguil; Internal Medicine; Costa Mesa, California
These doctors were among the more than 400 seniors and physicians from across the country who gathered on Capitol Hill recently to urge Members of Congress to protect seniors' Medicare Advantage benefits.
The rally and the new television ad are just the latest example of doctors mobilizing to protect their patients' Medicare Advantage benefits. A recent study, "From the Point of Care," published by the California Association of Physician Group, California's largest physician organization association, explains how "California physician groups and their physicians are able to provide superior health care for Medicare beneficiaries in Medicare Advantage as compared to traditional Medicare."
