The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) are pleased to announce that IBM will serve as the Keystone Sponsor of RFID/Track and Trace Health Care Industry Adoption Summit, to be held November 11-13 at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C. The event will feature nearly 500 attendees who are focused on learning more about how RFID and Track and Trace technologies can help create a more secure pharmaceutical supply chain and enhance business processes.

At the opening session on Monday, November 12, Paul Chang of IBM will deliver a keynote speech entitled "The Future of the Connected World." Other prominent speakers on Monday include Giny Herold and Judy Nurse of the California Board of Pharmacy.

On Tuesday, November 13, speakers will include David Bernauer, NACDS chairman of the Board and retired chairman of Walgreen Co., and Dr. Sanjay Sarma of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The event will include nearly 20 education sessions on a variety of topics and pilots that are relevant to pharmaceutical executives - regardless of their experience with the technologies. It also includes an exhibit hall of RFID and Track and Trace product and service suppliers.
